Planning a wedding in Park City—or anywhere else—comes with plenty of questions. We've gathered some of the most common ones here to help you get started. If you don’t see what you're looking for, we’d love to chat and hear more about your vision!

"Where do we begin?"

Wedding planning can feel overwhelming—so many choices, so many details. From countless dresses to choose from, stunning venues, it’s easy to feel unsure about what’s right for you. Our goal is to simplify the process and make your day uniquely yours.

If you’ve been to weddings before, you likely have elements you loved and others you’d rather avoid. The good news? Your wedding should reflect you. We personalize every aspect to ensure it feels right for you.

 

Recently, during a planning meeting, a couple looked nervous when their planner asked, "Do you want a Grand Entrance?". I rephrased the question:

💬 “When you join your guests after the ceremony, would you like to be announced?”

Their answer was an immediate “Yes.”

From there, we explored timing options:

  • Cocktail Hour: Announced as you join your guests.

  • Before Dinner: A more formal announcement, possibly tied into a welcome speech or first dance.

👉 The point? You have options. There’s no one way to do things—just the way that feels best for you. We’ll walk through your vision to ensure your wedding is a reflection of you, not a cookie-cutter event.

How far in advance should we book our DJ?

It’s best to book as early as possible, especially during peak wedding seasons. Many couples secure their DJ 6–12 months in advance. However, if your wedding is sooner, reach out! We may still have availability.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! We frequently work with couples from all over the country and are happy to travel to your wedding location.

What is included in your DJ packages?

Our DJ packages include:
✅ Professional sound equipment
✅ A curated playlist tailored to your preferences and must-play songs
✅ A skilled DJ who can also serve as an MC, or a DJ/MC team to keep the night flowing smoothly

✨ Additional options: Dance floor lighting, ceremony sound, and custom enhancements are also available.

What if we don’t know what songs we want?

No worries! You don’t need to list every song for the night. The most important selections we’ll need are:
🎶 Ceremony Music – What song will play as you walk down the aisle? What will play as you exit? (processional, entrance, recessional)
💃 First Dance – A song that’s special to you both.
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Dances – If you plan to dance with a parent, what song feels meaningful?

If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help with suggestions! But personal choices make the night even more memorable.

How do you personalize the music for our wedding?

This is one of the most exciting parts of the process! By getting to know you, we learn about:
🎵 Songs that bring back special memories from different parts of your life
🎵 Your vision—whether it’s a mix of classics, modern remixes, or a little of everything
🎵 Creating a soundtrack that feels personal—one that brings back old memories while making new ones on the dance floor

Do you offer ceremony music as well?

Yes! We can provide:
🎶 Prelude music as guests arrive
🎶 Processional and recessional songs
🎶 Microphones for your officiant and vows to ensure everyone hears those special moments

Do you take song requests from guests?

Yes! We’re happy to take guest requests—as long as they align with the vibe you want for your wedding. We also strictly follow your do-not-play list to ensure the music reflects your vision.

Can we provide a do-not-play list?

Absolutely! Your wedding music should reflect your style. If there are songs or genres you’d rather avoid, we’ll make sure they don’t get played.

👉 But don’t stress too much about this list. We’d rather focus on the songs you love to make sure your favorites get played!

Can you provide music for other parts of the wedding (cocktail hour, dinner, after-party)?

Yes! We regularly provide music for:

  • Ceremony arrival: Background music as guests take their seats.

  • Processional & recessional: Songs for the wedding party and couple.

  • Cocktail hour & dinner: Perfectly curated to match the mood.

  • After-party: High-energy music to keep the celebration going!

If you’re incorporating live musicians (like a string quartet), we can still provide microphones and speakers so that officiants and vows are heard clearly.

How do you handle announcements and MC duties?

One of my favorite compliments came from a groom’s dad. After the wedding, he pulled me aside and said:

💬 “I’m a dean at the University of ________, and what you did tonight is something we spend years teaching students at our college. But you did something we can’t teach—you made every one of my guests feel like you were having a conversation with only them.”

👉 A great wedding DJ is more than just music. We use our experience to create key moments, handle announcements, and most importantly, ensure your guests feel engaged and connected to your wedding day.

Do you bring your own sound and lighting equipment?

Yes! We provide:
🔊 High-quality professional sound equipment for crystal-clear audio
💡 Dance floor lighting options to enhance the party atmosphere

If your venue has specific requirements, we’ll coordinate with them in advance.

How do you keep the dance floor packed?

Reading the crowd is key. But the planning we do beforehand—asking about the songs that spark memories—pays off here.

✅ By playing songs that connect with your guests, we create moments that bring them to the dance floor.
✅ We blend must-play songs with tracks that match the energy of the night.
✅ We seamlessly transition between genres and tempos to keep the momentum going.

How do you coordinate with other vendors (planner, photographer, etc.)?

Working with a team of professional vendors is essential. That’s why we have preferred vendors—we know from experience that they provide top-tier service.

Simple communication makes a big difference:
🚨 Ensuring dinner is served at the right time
📸 Making sure your photographer is ready for key moments (like your first dance!)

👉 Imagine your DJ starting your first dance while the photographer is in another room. Not ideal! That’s why we work closely with your planner, photographer, and other vendors to ensure smooth transitions throughout the night.

Before your wedding, we work with you to understand your vision. On your wedding day, we handle the details so you can simply enjoy the moment.
